Statement of Environment Effects

The Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE) is a report which explains the likely impacts of a proposal and how to minimise these impacts. The statement includes written information about a proposal that cannot be readily shown on plans and drawings.

An SEE must be lodged with every development application (DA).

A Statement of Environmental Effects should address:

  • the environmental impacts of the development
  • how the environmental impacts of the development have been identified
  • the steps to be taken to protect the environment or to lessen the expected harm to the environment
  • any other matters as related to Schedule 1, Part 1, Clause 2(1)(c) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000

Please use the Statement of Environmental Effects Template to complete your report.
