Enviroment Reports
The State of the Enviroment Report is prepared by Habitat Planning for the Murray Region of Councils of which Balranald is a member.
The report represents a review and record of the status of the 'enviroment' over a particular area. More specifically, and within the context of the New South Wales Local Government Act 1993, an State of the Enviroment Report provides a summary of the attributes of the enviroment within which local government functions and the impacts of activities on that enviroment.
It is also intended to provide a public record of the activities of government, industry and the community in protecting and restoring the enviroment. State of the Enviroment Reports do not stand alone and should be intergrated with enviromental management and strategies.
