Senior Staff

Position details

Council’s General Manager is responsible for the actioning of Council’s decisions, supporting Council, organisational leadership, structure and performance as well as environmental, social and economic sustainability.

Responsible to the General Manager are the Directors who lead our Corporate, Economic and Community and Infrastructure and Development Divisions.

The General Manager and Directors support the Council in determining strategic direction for our Shire, and are responsible for ensuring that the organisation is meeting its obligations.


Mr Aaron Drenovski

General Manager

Primary Functions: Shire Manager, Mayor and Elected Member support, Co-ordinate civic activities (including meeting processes), legislative compliance, policy development and public relations.

Ms Charmaine Murfet

Director Corporate and Community Development

Primary Functions: Customer Service, Rates, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Governance, Library, Property, Hostel, Tourism, Community Development and Records.

Mr Bob Stewart

Acting Director Infrastructure and Development

Primary Functions: Infrastructure Management, Parks and Recreation, Waste Management, Planning and Regulatory Services, Strategic Planning, Development Assessment, Building Inspections, Environmental Health, Fire Prevention, Animal Management and Parking Control.
