Changed Road Conditions – Atlas/Campaspe Mineral Sands Project

Motorists using local roads in the north of the Shire are advised of the following changes to roads in the vicinity of the Atlas-Campaspe Mineral Sands Project:

• The Magenta-Wampo Road between Marma-Box Creek Road and the Boree Plains-Gol Gol Road, will re-open to all traffic from Thursday 4^th November 2021. Council thanks residents for their patience and cooperation while this road has been closed for construction.
• Construction work is continuing on the Magenta-Wampo Road between the Boree Plains-Gol Gol Road and Langleydale Station, and north to Magenta Station, with the road open to traffic but under traffic control conditions. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution if using this road as heavy earthmoving machinery is in operation.
• The Hatfield-The Vale Road between Magenta Station and the Balranald-Ivanhoe Road at Hatfield will be CLOSED to through traffic from Monday 15^th November 2021 until late February 2022 to enable construction of the mine haul road to be completed. Motorists are advised to detour  via Langleydale for travel through this area. The road will be made trafficable and available for use over the Christmas break (22^nd December 2021 until 8^th January 2022).
